Anthony Vento and Joe Muscanere began their musical liason in the early 60's when they both attended High School in Houston, Texas. They found that the fiber which bound them together was their Sicilian roots. Over the years they have delighted audiences with their festive renditions of Italy's most famous songs. Italian Festival Favorites is a collection of songs continually sung at weddings, reunions, receptions, family gatherings, or any "fest". These songs bring forth a foot-stomping, hand-clapping, toe-tapping response from young and old alike. Included in this compilation is Cella Luna, Italy's most famous party song! Anthony and Joseph's rousing arrangement has become one of the most requested songs at Italian festivals and weddings. Also included is Mama's Cooking, which is rapidly becoming the new "national anthem" for Italian Foodies, and Tarantella, the frantic dance of Italy!

We hope you enjoy listening to Italian Festival Favorites. Perhaps it will magically turn back the hands of time and transport you to the old country or maybe simply to "Nonna's" house where all aunts, uncles, cousins are gathered with food (ah...smell the pasta, insulata, pane, e vino and songs!) Saluti! -Mary Margaret Hitt
