Kevin Clark is presently the music director for the Distillery District, Toronto's new centre for the arts, culture and entertainment.
His recording career has seen him recorded and/or toured with Rhythm & Blues legend Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, New Orleans own clarinetist Pete Fountain, the Grammy nominated Dukes of Dixieland, the New Orleans Nightcrawlers Brass Band, and country artist Junior Brown.
His performance career has landed him positions, chronologically, as trumpeter with Barnum & Bailey Circus (three years); trumpeter/bandleader/conductor/composer/talent booking/consultant with Walt Disney Productions on both coasts (twelve years); trumpeter/arranger/producer for the Dukes of Dixieland and New Orleans Nightcrawlers (ten years) in New Orleans.
This album, recorded live in a New Orleans jazz worship service is filled with great old-time gospel numbers done in a New Orleans Dixieland style, supercharged with Kevin Clark's own brand of New Orleans funk. It also includes a thought-provoking message of God's love by Pastor Trey Harris.
