BIG TEX released his first recordings under the name MUMBLE, with sounds based on manipulating found audio from various sources. Shortly after releasing material for the Lobot Music compilation, Lobot Manual, TEX decided he'd give his audio project the name BIG TEX. Since then, several small releases and compilation appearances followed.
BIG TEX has performed at numerous live shows,
including festivals such as Troniksfest and Nor-Cal Noisefest 2000.
BIG TEX has finally settled upon 74 minutes of audio based on collections of studio recordings over the years. These sounds, varying from power noise, harsh electronics and elements of dark ambiance and abstract rhythms, are collected here on Authentic Songs Of The Old West. BIG TEX has recently completed a remix project with recording artist CHACHI JONES; a track from this remix collaboration
will appear on the upcoming Dark Pathways Vol. 3 compilation on Crunch Pod.
